The Camp Sol of the Deaf, Inc (formerly Zoppi Deaf Camp) hosted its first diverse summer camp to provide a safe space for members of the diverse deaf and hard of hearing community on July 31 – August 1, 2016. The Zoppi Deaf Camp was committed to creating a diverse community and hiring deaf and hard of hearing BIPOC presenters. With 15 campers and 8 staff. Zoppi Deaf Camp was perfect for first-time campers of any race. Zoppi Deaf Camp includes campers and staff from various social, ethnic, economic, geographic backgrounds, and deafness.
